WAY’s new facility is shown under construction earlier this summer.

You’ll have to excuse Wayne Kaylor, CEO of WAY Interglobal, if he feels a bit like a kid the week before Christmas. Afterall, his company will be launching a bunch of new products at next week’s RV Hall Supplier Show and then, on Oct. 5, he’ll celebrate the ribbon-cutting of WAY’s new 800,000-square-foot facility in Elkhart, Ind.

“That’s exactly how it feels,” Kaylor said with a smile.

The next couple of weeks of intense activity, marked by equal parts business and celebration, starts with the RV Hall Supplier Show, where Kaylor and the rest of the team at WAY are set to staff Booth #250. Hosted by the RV/MH Hall of Fame, the event takes place starting Monday, Sept. 26 and runs throughout the Elkhart RV Open House next week.

“We’re excited to be back over at the Hall of Fame and help support the OEMs and the dealers that come through the displays,” Kaylor told RVBusiness. “We’ll have a presence there with sales and service team – booth 250 – and we will be showing a couple of products and have information on several of the new products that we plan for introduction end of the year timeframe.

Among the new product introductions from WAY is a full-size 12-volt refrigerator, 18 cubic feet or larger, which Kaylor said will be an industry first.

“We also have our dual-swing refrigerator that has been very, very well received by the OEMs and the dealers. So, for both of those items, we’ll have our information over there at the show on,” he said, adding that WAY plans on having a couple of new cooking products that will also be on display.

The 12-volt appliance trend seems to be the industry standard, Kaylor noted.

“It’s amazing how much traction it’s taken,” he said. “I think people finally understand that the product performs better than what was in the industry for years prior to that. And, the fact that we have been the first with that 12-volt product – we’re kind of the innovator of it – I feel like means we’re two or three generations ahead of our competition and other brands in the market.”

Then, following the Supplier Show and the Open House, Kaylor and crew will be hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 5 for the company’s massive new facility along the north side of the Indiana toll road, just west of County Road 17.

“We’re very, very excited to get into it. It’s going to be a showplace for us and the industry,” Kaylor said. “Probably the thing that we’re most proud of – other than the building itself – is our testing facility for our engineering and quality control group. Really, that’s kind of the key to our growth in the industry for innovation, but also from a support standpoint.

“I think that, with what we’re doing to test out and vet products, is above and beyond what’s been done in the past,” he continued.
